In yet another sign he is operating under the assumption the Kings are leaving, Mayor Kevin Johnson told reporters today that he has arranged to speak with the former mayor of Charlotte, N.C., about how that city dealt with losing an NBA franchise – then getting a team back.

Carl Landry expects to change ZIP codes within 48 hours, leaving Sacramento, where he’s been for a year, and heading to New Orleans.

Cousins, Kings pull off another stunning victory

The Kings ended the Hornets’ 10-game winning streak with a 102-96 win Saturday night at Arco Arena.



The Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins has words with the Hornets’ Chris Paul during Sacramento’s victory Saturday at Arco Arena.



DeMarcus Cousins puts up a shot over the Hornets’ Emeka Okafor during the third quarter of the Kings’ victory Saturday night. The rookie center again was a factor for the Kings, coming off their win Friday night against the Lakers.
