Judge finds flaw in Sacramento’s arena review, but construction will continue

A judge found a flaw in the city of Sacramento’s environmental study for construction of the new Kings arena, but the decision won’t halt construction and city officials said the problem isn’t major.



Demolition work continues last month at Downtown Plaza to make room for Sacramento’s new arena.

Ailene Voisin: Kings guard Nik Stauskas off to good start

Legitimate scorers tend to reveal themselves quickly in this league. The 6-foot-6 Stauskas, who was selected eighth in he draft, has wasted little time showing off his abilities as an elite shooter.

Despite new TV deal, Kings’ player rep Landry wary of possible lockout

The announcement the NBA had reached a new, lucrative television deal with ESPN and Turner Sports means more money for the ever-popular league. And as a result, more money for its players.

Kings tinkering with small ball to push tempo this season

Last season, the catchphrase was “NBA 3.0.” This year, the chatter is all about positionless basketball, or not be bound to the traditional lineup of a point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward and center.

A lighter Rudy Gay is ready to play more like ‘a guard’ this season

Darren Collison recognizes he has big, er, small, shoes to fill. Isaiah Thomas was extremely popular during his three seasons with the Kings. He was feisty and stubborn, charismatic and athletic, and he had a knack for squeezing between defenders and scoring in the lane.
